This path runs up to the Grand Piton, the highest peak in the Salève range at an altitude of 1,380 metres. Its plateau is pitted with karrens. Panoramic views of the Franco-Swiss Geneva Basin and the Jura mountains, especially from La Thuile farm.
Along the way, in the village of Beaumont, there is a statue of Santiago de Compostela in front of the church. At the foot of the Salève is the Notre-Dame de l'Esperance Chapel. See also the Thuile alpine chalet, the Grande Paroi and, of course, the Grand Piton (the highest peak in the Salève range rising to a height of more than 1,389 metres) and the Bastian Tower, as well as La Sorcière ("the witch"), a strange pointed rock.
The path crosses alpine pasture. Please close the gates behind you and keep your dog on a lead.
The walk includes a short rocky downhill section which can be difficult. Not recommended for mountain bikes.
OuverturesThroughout the year : open daily.
